Long-Wave Infrared (LWIR) Cameras

The Long-Wave Infrared (LWIR) part of the infrared spectrum covers the 8 to 14 µm wavelength band. LWIR cameras are thermal imagers and typically find application in security, process control and medical markets.

Xenics LWIR cameras and camera cores are based on uncooled microbolometer detectors.

Dione Family

This Thermal OEM Camera family is based on a family of small pixel sensors and it is optimized for Size, Weight and Power (SWAP). The Dione is ideal for applications where a thermal camera is embedded into a dedicated OEM product. Three versions are available, one that is a bare board stack (OEM Module), another that has a minimal camera body (CAM Module) and one that has minimal camera body but with a built in shutter (S CAM Module) .

Ceres Family

This Thermal Camera family is built around the same high resolution sensor family as the Dione but is a fully functional Thermal Camera. The Ceres V model is has a shutter and is designed for high resolution thermal imaging. The Ceres T model also has a shutter and comes with calibration packs for true thermographic imaging.

Gobi Family

This workhorse product is based on the older style thermal sensor with larger pixels but has lots of capabilities as a thermal camera. The Gobi has an optional calibration pack for thermographic imaging applications.
